At last… this project has been less than prompt. :) Introducing the latest two Frameable Valentine’s! $25.

“Love life and life will love you back. Love people and they will love you back.”
~Arthur Rubinstein

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

“To mush, or not to mush, what a stupid question.”– a t-shirt depicting dog-sledding that my dad brought my mom back from Alaska.

Sadly, the scans are rather weak. There is the outline of an igloo in the background…

“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.”  –Shakespeare

I could have married an ugly man. I think most women could. I think women have a primary point of attraction apart from the outside. That doesn’t make us more mature, or more sincere… women fall for smooth talk…women fall for confidence…

For some reason, God decided that I shouldn’t marry an ugly man, and gave me a beautiful one.  Thanks, God. I do appreciate it.

What is it that attracts Dragons to each other?

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” –Dr. Suess

….Second installment on this snowy Sunday. Love 7. Going out for ice cream is a great date. So is coffee. One of my favorite date-esque things to do with Sawaya is walk the few blocks to Starbucks and get coffee. Conversation is always enhanced by walking outdoors.

“I love you the more in that I believe you had liked me for my own sake and for nothing else.”–John Keats

I watched Bright Star last nite. The problem with true stories is that one can’t fiddle with the cold, hard facts. That said, watch it. You will never hear the name Keats and conjur up some old man in a white beard.

I have fallen very much behind in this project, but today i have FOUR. Count it, FOUR excerpts of Love to publish. I begin with Love 6, and will continue publishing throughout the day. Emma part 2 plays on PBS tonite.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. That’s relativity.

— Albert Einstein
To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
— Helen Rowland
Well, I am late with posting Love4, but Love 5 is remarkably prompt! Love 5 is my personal favorite so far… Not that I’m partial to creatures of Africa… :)
I wrote out a verse from Proverbs 31 and posted it next to the bathroom mirror. “She openeth her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness”… quoting from memory, so pardon any mistakes. My favorite person in the world, who I share every day with, gets more of my unkind speech than any other person on earth… Don’t do that! Speak kindly today. I shall try too.

“Love is like a friendship caught on fire: In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep- burning and unquenchable.” – Bruce Lee (1940-1973) Chinese-American Actor, Director, Martial Artist

Here…is love 3.

“The course of true love never did run smooth.” –Shakespeare

I remember making red heart construction paper valentines for my Grandma. Little did I know back then, that making hand-made things would be the work of my lifetime. It’s intensely satisfying.

My husband isn’t the type that wakes me up in the morning holding a bunch of roses with a card tucked under my pillow. Oh he outdoes himself at times–my engagement, for one. And he’s actually written me a poem. But last year, for valentines, we drove to Target, and he let me pick out earrings. He knows how to please his woman.

Here’s today’s entry. Entitled, “Be Mine.” Make it yours for $25…… I shoud be in advertising. :)

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;”- I Corinthians 13:4

I fail in every single one of those catagories. Can you imagine the fellowship of Heaven when every one of us is filled with this LOVE to each other?

On the lighter side…I have the first card to present to you. Done on sturdy Bristol board with lots of room for writing inside! Last Valentines Day, my boss’ husband brought over a box of chocolates. It was a BIG box of chocolates. My husband was in shock at how long they DIDN”T last. :) I challenge each of you to remember to do something sweet for your valentine. Maybe you think it’s a corny holiday, but at least be sure to say “i love you”. I plan on making heart sugar cookies and taking them to my local bank and post office and library, and my favorite little art shop downtown… Maybe you college students could get a box of Little Mermaid cards, or Sesame Street, and send them through Campus Mail to your friends…and the guy you’re hoping goes out to your dating outing. :) Let me know your Valentine’s traditions and ideas… start something new!

Here’s today’s entry, entitled “You’re Sweet.” Claim it for $25!
